No lead has been established in the murder of ‘Maithabeleng Koloti, 30, a young mother who was killed in a cold blood murder two weeks ago.

This was confirmed by the police spokesperson Superintendent Mpiti Mopeli who further appealed to the public to come forth with information that could lead the police to the arrest of suspects.

Koloti met her untimely death when she was kidnapped in a 4+1 taxicab from Maseru Mall and her corpse found the following day at the Sethaleng sa Mopapa with 19 bullet holes in her body.

The deceased reportedly last texted her husband (a soldier) on Saturday around 7pm alerting him about her possible kidnapping when the vehicle she was in diverged the road to Ha Thetsane.

From that time nothing was ever heard from her after her phone went off and a search team that was immediately assigned to trace her, failed to locate her whereabouts on that fateful night.

“The police are working tirelessly to find suspects in the matter and need community assistance  to establish a lead to her gruesome murder. Right now we have no clue as to what could have happened to her and we have no substantial evidence in hand that could speed up investigations,” he said.

Koloti worked at the YCM factory in Ha Thetsane and was from a bank when she was abducted and killed on that fateful night.
