Second Lady dishes out Christmas gifts

Infants patients admitted at Queen Mamohato Memorial Hospital (QMMH) during the festive season on Wednesday received gifts from the spouse of the leader of Alliance of Democrats (AD) ‘Malimpho Moleleki.

The wife of Deputy Prime Ministwer and leader of AD Monyane Moleleki, dished out gifts that included disposable nappies, baby wipes and clothes among others, which were presented to seven children by AD Secretary General, Dr. Mahali Phamotse and AD Women's League President 'Maphoka Motoboli.
When handing over the gifts, Dr. Phamotse indicated that as a woman and parent, Mrs. Moleleki found it appropriate to show support to parents of kids who have undergone a tough festive season away from home due to illness of their kids.
She said if a single woman suffered, women's league felt the same suffering, and she called upon women to show support to one another in times of hardships.
Dr. Phamotse said the league decided to visit the hospital because the it admits patients from all over the country.
The hospital’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mothepane Thahane made vote of thanks on behalf of the hospital for the act of kindness done unto them.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Masechaba Seneimane who said she had been at the hospital since December 24, said they were grateful for the gifts.
In their capacities as ministers of gender and education respectively, Dr. Phamotse and Motoboli presented gifts to a two months toddler and two pregnant women at the female prison.
The handing over ceremony at female prison was graced by the presence of the Lesotho Correctional Service (LCS) Commissioner Thabang Mothepu.
