  • 12 January, 2019

Thetsane Police Post (TPP) chorale music Conductor, Lebona Mathunya said the group aims to continue with its initiative of transforming youth through choral music.

He told the agency music plays a tremendous role on the lives of individuals adding it is through music that different messages meant to positively influence youth can be disseminated.
In addition, he highlighted they target youth within Thetsane Constituency to come and sing as part of keeping themselves busy so as to avoid engaging in crime.
Hand in hand with Thetsane police, he alluded they have managed to bring together over 60 youth who also come from different church denominations.
'Putting God first will help us achieve our goal because we target all youth from different churches,' he stressed.
Mathunya mentioned they have learned when these youth are well equipped with music skills, they go back to their churches, enhance music and grow their churches.
Meanwhile, the agency has learned that last year the choir won second prize during the Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) choral music.
Like other posts, TPP work together with various sectors of the society to curb crime so as to maintain law and order in the country.
