The Teyateyaneng police are carrying out a strategic investigation in a bid to put behind bars, so far, unidentified male perpetrators who stole a car at Ha Mabekenyane in Berea, last Thursday.
The police spokesperson, Inspector (Insp) Mpiti Mopeli, said though the suspects are still at large, he is hopeful that in no time the thieves will be brought to justice as the police force is working tirelessly to solve the case.
He said three men badged into a house where two women and a boy were sleeping and allegedly fastened them with shoe laces, at gun point, and left with about M600 and a car.
Recently, Teyateyaneng has been targeted by robbers.
In another incident in Ha Ts’ekelo, burglars broke into a shop and set off with M2,000, airtime worth M900, and cigarettes among other things.
Armed robbery, rape, car theft, dagga smuggling, and stock theft are some of the major criminal offences in the district.
