Bantu remain unbeaten

The Premier league defending champions, Bantu have maintained 100{ce26f346cd59949e2c0f2d00ffd4e33d79c93a92036a118111a0d166462d4b89} winning start to the Econet Premier League season after winning four consecutive matches since the beginning of last month.
The 3-0 victory over Linare, played at the DIFA stadium in Maputsoe yesterday put A Mats’o Matebele in a good position to defend the league title.
However, the Premier League Management Committee (PLMC) Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mr. Lekholoa Mosito said it is too early to tip Bantu for the title just after four games, adding that anything is possible in football.
But Mr. Mosito acknowledged that Bantu seem determined and are highly disciplined in their approach, therefore, they could be destined for bigger things.
He however said Bantu’s participation in the African Champions League early next year could be a distracted.
“Bantu qualified to represent the country at next year’s African Champions League after winning last season’s domestic league and it good for them to collect as many points as possible now since anything could happen,” he warned.
Bantu opened the 2017/18 season with a convincing 4-0 thumping of league rookies Sefotha-fotha before thrashing Liphakoe 2-0. They went on to clinch a narrow victory (1-0) against Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) before beating Linare. Bantu have scored 10 goals so far and are yet to concede.
Meanwhile, another title contender, Lioli, dropped two valuable points after playing a goalless draw against Majantja. Matlama also settled for a goalless draw in their encounter with FC Likhopo.
Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) collected maximum points against struggling Sefotha-fotha with a 1-0 win while Kick4Life and Lesotho Correctional Service (LCS) shared the spoils in a barren draw.
Liphakoe returned to winning ways with a hard fought 3-2 victory over Sky Battalion.
