13-year-old win Under 20 COSSASA race

Manqabang Tsibela and Makhele Rammeea have won the five kilometres race which was held in the district on Saturday organised by the Lesotho Sports and Recreation (LSRC).
Tsibela who is 13 years has been leading on the under 14 athletes and Rammeea 18 years led in over 19 athletes.
Tsibela had taken 20:25 minutes to finish the race without competition while it took Rammeea 16:04 minutes.
The 13 year old Tsibela has won COSSASA under 20 youth games where she brought home two gold medals in 2015 and in Angola in 2016 she brought home again two gold medals during the SCASSA games.
She both won the 3000 meters and the 1,500 meters in both years.
Rammeea who had led the race to the end had a fierce competition as he had two rivals at the back and those were very determined to also win.
But, on the last kilometre faced with the steep road, he made sure no one approaches him until the finishing line.
Rammeea had run races in Mokhotlong, Mants’onyane, Sehlabeng, those included 9 and 6 kilometres and also competed in Quthing and Mokhotlong but never made it to top ten.
He won a 10 kilometre race in Richards Bay in 2015. He expresses satisfaction with his performance saying he is happy he has won the race.
His advice to the youth is to find their talent and develop it and stop engaging in criminal activities.
The prizes which had been sponsored by the Lesotho Sports and Recreation by M5000.00 and the winners received M500.00, each and the last who made it to the top 10 got M150.00.
LSRC has expressed sarisfaction on the preparation of games and the participation of athletes. The race attracted both athletes and non-athletes.
